Heute gibt es mal wieder einen Travelpost von mir :) Letzte Woche haben mein Freund und ich nämlich spontan einen Trip durch Deutschland gemacht und uns dabei besonders Berlin und Hamburg angeschaut.
In meinem ersten Travelpost geht es um Berlin. Da ein Teil meiner Familie ursprünglich aus Berlin stammt und ich schon öfters dort war, haben wir uns nicht nur auf die "Standardsehenswürdigkeiten" konzentriert, sondern auch einige andere Sachen unternommen. Viel Spaß beim Lesen :)
Hotel:
Unser Hotel "Vier Jahreszeiten" lag recht zentral in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, nur zwei U-Bahnhaltestellen vom Kurfürstendamm entfernt. Ca. 50m vom Hotel entfernt, befand sich die U-Bahnstation "Güntzelstraße", von welcher aus man ca. in 10 Minuten direkt in der Innenstadt Berlins war. Das Hotel war recht überschaubar, aber perfekt für unsere Bedürfnisse ausgestattet. Unser Zimmer war ein Doppelzimmer, mit Bad, Dusche, Fernseher und kostenfreiem und schnellem Internet (überlebenswichtig). Wir hatten Frühstück dazugebucht und durften daher jeden Tag über den Dächern Berlins frühstücken. Von dort aus hatte man wirklich einen schönen Blick über ganz Berlin und konnte sogar den Fernsehturm sehen. Leider war es zum draußen auf der Dachterasse frühstücken noch zu kalt.
Essen:
Von den Essensmöglichkeiten gesehen, hatten wir unser Hotel anscheinend im falschen Stadtteil gebucht, da wirklich alle Restaurants, die uns im vorhinein empfehlen wurden, in Berlin Mitte bzw. Friedrichshain lagen. Dort gibt es wirklich richtig tolle Restaurants. Unsere persönlichen Highlights hier:
- Shiso Burger (Adresse: Auguststraße 29c, 10119 Berlin): Bei Shiso Burger gibt es gesunde Asia Burger für Fleischesser und Vegetarier. Wer gerne Burger isst und zusätzlich die asiatische Küche liebt, ist hier genau richtig. Besonders zu empfehlen sind auch die hausgemachten Pommes.
- YamYam (Alte Schönhauser Str. 6, 10119 Berlin): Koreanisches Restaurant mit tollem "Berliner" Flair. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die hausgemachten Dumplings sowie die Mungobohnen Reibekuchen. Unbedingt vorher reservieren, da sonst vor allem abends kaum Plätze frei sind.
- Transit (Rosenthaler Str. 68, 10119 Berlin): Einzigartiges asiatisches Restaurant mit vielen kleinen Gerichten aus Südostasien. Die meisten Gerichte werden in kleinen Schalen serviert, so dass man viel probieren kann. Tolles Ambiente. Unbedingt reservieren, da meist alles voll ist.
- Fuku Sushi (Rosenthaler Str. 61, 10119 Berlin): Sushi-Restaurant mit unfassbar günstigem Sushi (Maki-Rollen mit 6 Stück ab 1,50€), dass dazu noch richtig gut schmeckt. Geheimtipp!
Shopping Malls:
In Berlin gibt es wirklich zahlreiche Shoppinggelegenheiten. Die Besten meiner Meinung nach waren:
- Mall of Berlin ( Leipziger Platz 12, 10117 Berlin): neue Shopping Mall mit über 250 Shops. Besonders toll dort ist der Food Court, der Gerichte und Snacks aus aller Welt bietet. Man kann sich wirklich kaum entscheiden, was man dort essen soll.
- Kurfürstendamm: Wie der Name schon sagt, entlang des Kurfürstendamms. Unzählige Shops kombiniert mit Sightseeing, da man an der Kriegergedächtniskirche vorbeikommt und auch der Zoo Berlin nicht weit entfernt ist.
- Hackesche Höfe: Jede Menge Shops und Restaurants. Schönes Flair, die Hackeschen Höfe selbst stehen unter Denkmalschutz und befinden sich in Berlin Mitte.
- Friedrichstraße: Unweit des Brandenburger Tors zu finden direkt in Berlin Mitte.
Da es in Berlin, obwohl es zwischenzeitlich mal recht sonnig war, noch richtig kalt war, habe ich oft mein schwarzes Cape von Pieces getragen, das sich je nach Bedarf entweder als Schal oder Cape tragen ließ. Dazu kombiniert habe ich auf diesen Bildern meine Bikerlederhose von Zara, meinen grauen Oversized-Mantel ebenfalls von Zara, eine Handtasche mit viel Platz (genug für Kamera, Selfiestick, GoPro-Kamera, Snacks, Getränke, Regenschirm und Sonnenbrille), meine Sonnenbrille von Le Specs "Hey Macarena" aus der Limited Edition und meine geliebten Adidas Superstar. Da wir unglaublich viel gelaufen sind, waren die Superstar Sneaker super hilfreich, da sie sowohl äußerst bequem, als auch stylisch sind.

Today I´m back with another travel post :) Last week, my boyfriend and I spontaneously made a little trip through Germany, where we especially visited Berlin and Hamburg.
My first travelpost is about Berlin. Since one part of my family originally is from Berlin and I´ve already visited the city several times, we didn´t have to spent too much time with the "standard sightseeing things". Instead, we discovered a lot of other interesting things. Have fun reading :)
Hotel:
Our hotel "Vier Jahreszeiten" was located very central in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, just two subway stations from the Kurfürstendamm. The next subway station was around 50 meters from our hotel and called "Güntzelstraße". From there, Berlin city is reachable in about ten minutes. The hotel wasn´t very big, but perfect for our needs. We had a double room with a bath, a shower, a TV and most essentially, we had a free and fast Wifi connection. As we booked the hotel including breakfast, we were able to enjoy a daily breakfast buffet with a view over whole Berlin. From there, we had a wonderful view and we could even see the "Fernsehturm" (television tower). Too bad, it still was too cold to enjoy our breakfast from the open roof terrace.
Food:
Concerning food options, we apparently booked a hotel in the wrong city district. All the restaurants, which our friends and family recommended, were located in Berlin Mitte or Berlin-Friedrichshain. Around there, you could find hundreds of amazing restaurants. Our personal highlights were:
- Shiso Burger (address: Auguststraße 2c, 10119 Berlin): Shiso Burger has lots of tasty and healthy asian burgers which are perfect for meat eaters and vegetarians. When you love burgers and in addition enjoy the asian kitchen, this is the perfect place for you. What I can also really recommend, are the housemade fries.
- YamYam (Alte Schönhauser Straße 6, 10119 Berlin): Korean restaurant with amazing "Berliner" flair. Unique here are the housemade dumplings and the mung bean pancakes. You should definitely make a reservation previously in order to get a seat.
- Transit (Rosenthaler Straße 68, 10119 Berlin): Unique asian restaurant with a wide range of small, authentic savory cuisine from southeast asia. Most of the dishes are in small portions, so you are able to order a lot of different things. Stunning ambience. Necessarily make a reservation before!
- Fuku Sushi (Rosenthaler Straße 61, 10119 Berlin): Sushi restaurant with low priced sushi (maki rolls with six pieces start with 1,50€), with moreover tastes amazing. Definitely an insider tipp!
Shopping malls:
There are lots of differents possibilities to do shopping in Berlin. My favorite shoppings spots are:
- Mall of Berlin (Leipziger Platz 12, 10117 Berlin): new shopping mall with over 250 shops. I would really recommend the food court there. It offers snacks and restaurants from all over the world. You can hardly decide what to eat there.
- Kurfürstendamm: As the name says, you can find numberless shops along the Kurfürstendamm. You can combine shopping there with some sightseeing, as the Kriegergedächtniskirche and the Zoo of Berlin are located nearby.
- Hackesche Höfe: Lots of shops and lovely restaurants. Nice flair. The "Hackeschen Höfe" are under monument conservation and are located in the centre of Berlin.
- Friedrichstraße: Not far away from the Brandenburger Tor directly in the center of Berlin.
Even if it was sunny in the meantime, it was still very cold and windy in Berlin. Therefore, I often wore my black cape from Pieces, which can either be worn as cape or as scarf. Additionally, I combined, in this pictures, my biker leather pants from Zara, my grey oversized coat which is also from Zara, a bag with a lot of space (enough for my camera, selfie stick, GoPro-camera, some snacks, drinks, a umbrella and my sunglasses), my sunglasses from Le Specs "Hey Macarena" from the limited edition and my beloved Adidas Superstar Sneakers. We walked a lot, therefore my Superstar Sneakers were super comfy and helped me to survive and to be stylish.
